This page is maintained by Signature Garden Rooms and explains how we handle personal information about enquirers, visitors and customers of signature-gardenrooms.co.uk.
1. Who we are
Signature Garden Rooms (formerly AMR Garden Buildings) is a specialist installer of garden rooms, log cabins and outdoor buildings. Owner: Ryan Meldrum. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website and our enquiry channels.
2. What we collect
Only what you give us and what's needed to help you: your name, contact details, project location (town or postcode), the type of building you're enquiring about, and anything you choose to share in your message. When you call, we may take handwritten notes. When you visit the showroom, we don't record footage or capture data from you unless you enquire.
3. Why we hold it and our lawful basis
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, book a site survey, deliver the work you agreed to and answer aftercare questions. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running our business and, once you become a customer, the performance of your contract with us.
4. Marketing
We do not currently run a marketing email list. If we introduce one, it will be opt-in only and every message will include an unsubscribe link.
5. Who we share it with
Enquiry information is seen only by Ryan, Hazel and members of the in-house team. Where a project needs a specialist trade partner (electrician, groundworks, haulage) we share only what they need to do their work. We do not sell your data.
6. How long we keep it
Unquoted enquiries are held for up to 24 months so we can respond if you get back in touch. Quoted and completed job records are held for at least six years to meet HMRC and insurance obligations, and longer where warranty support is likely.
7. Cookies & analytics
The site uses only functional cookies required for pages to work. Where we add basic analytics in future, it will be limited to anonymous, aggregate visit counts (pages viewed, referring source). No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to confirm what we hold about you, correct it, delete it (where we're not obliged to keep it) or restrict how we use it. Contact Ryan at ryan@amrgardenbuildings.co.uk or call 07367 086350. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
9. Security
Enquiry data is held on password-protected devices and reputable business email. Paper records are held at the Polmont premises. Only the people who need the information have access to it.
