This is our most photographed compact sauna, an ebony-clad cube with the HUUM DROP heater in Black Glass edition. The HUUM DROP won the German iF Design Award, and paired with the Shou Sugi Ban exterior it's the sauna that gets the most 'what is that?' reactions on our Instagram.
Inside, the HUUM DROP is architecturally different from a standard Harvia, it's a sculptural teardrop of black glass with sauna stones balanced in the crown. Same functional output, entirely different aesthetic language.
The cube itself is a fully-insulated timber-frame structure clad in charred spruce, sized for 3–4 person capacity, the design specification for owners who want a design piece rather than a family-of-six workhorse.

Living with it
How it actually works day to day.
The HUUM UKU controller is the operational upgrade that owners talk about most. Full Wi-Fi with an iOS/Android app, you set the sauna to warm up on the drive home, and it's at temperature by the time you're changed. That sounds like a gimmick until you use it for a week.
The DROP heater's exposed stone crown allows for a genuinely intense löyly, pour a ladle of water over 40 kg of hot stones and the steam is deeper and softer than the enclosed rock cradle of a standard heater.
The compact footprint is deliberate. If you want six-person capacity, buy a Herkus L. This is the sauna for owners who value the design object as much as the function.
